For most people, nothing can be more nerve racking, frightening, or confusing than when they are accused of committing a crime; and those feelings are real. We at the Killam Law Office try very hard to calm those fears and help our clients understand what is happening, keeping them advised at all steps along the way.
Felony offenses are those offenses which have a punishment range of at least one year or greater in a state pentionary. Felony charges are the most serious of criminal charges and have a very specific procedural process, as follows:

Misdemeanor offenses are those offenses which carry a punishment of no greater than one year in the county jail and or a fine of no more than a $1000.

Don't wait to get legal advice. Your rights can be affected if you wait.
"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Please be aware, if you are charged with a crime, time is critical. Evidence that may help your case, or steps that you could take to protect your rights may be lost if you don't act soon.
Again, if we cannot help you with your case, we can help find someone who can help.
